Casita Azul, formerly known as kittenteeth, is a marketing and creative services agency founded and run by Nikki Barron, serving nonprofits, mission-driven small businesses, artists, progressive campaigns, and Democratic candidates. She helps build powerful brands, tell compelling stories, and move people to action.

Nikki Barron is a communications, marketing, and design strategist with 15+ years of experience blending strategic planning with hands-on creative execution, including branding, content creation, graphic design, videography, and digital marketing. Whether she is launching a new brand, producing a fundraising campaign, or building a website that tells a powerful story,Nikki bring an empathetic, solutions-focused approach rooted in collaboration and impact.

 Nikki has led projects across both nonprofit and commercial sectors, with a portfolio that spans advocacy, arts, and entrepreneurship. She is also a board member at South Seattle Emerald, where she help grow the publications reach and amplify community-centered journalism. Outside of work, She is deeply invested in the Seattle music and arts scene, and creates visual art using digital mediums like photography, video, and design.

Thanks to Nikki, I feel like I have a good foundation in how to make marketing make sense for me and my business.

I've been running my own music lesson business for a long time, and I've always kind of struggled with the marketing aspect of running a business, and recently I got kind of fed up with my own attempts and decided to hire Nikki, and it's been awesome. Not only has she given me some kind of concrete goals and just kind of methods of how to get people through the door, but she's also helped me develop kind of a marketing mindset and has given me tools and just ways to think about the big picture and how to set goals long into the future so that marketing makes sense now, and I'm already seeing results just from, you know, doing this for a little while, but thanks to Nikki, I feel like I have a good kind of foundation in how to make marketing make sense for me and my business, and yeah, I'm really grateful. I wrote, codirected, edited, and was a camera operator on this homage to The Big Lebowski. Shot during the pandemic, we rented a bowling alley, invited friends, and made a video I think the Dude would be proud of.

I wrote, shot, and edited this playful spot on a tight turnaround to help the client seize a last-minute free ad opportunity. Made with love (and zero budget), the ad features my dog Dolly and my home as the set.

Stand Up Seattle: The Democracy Project

I worked with The Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI) and Converge Media to creat this video timeline of the George Floyd Protests and the following Chop/Chaz autonomous zone as part of their Stand Up Seattle exhibit.
